Greenwood, SC – Greenwood Charter Academy is pleased to announce the promotion of Kirsten Mobley to the position of Principal, effective July 1, 2024.

Mrs. Mobley has been an integral part of the GCA community since the school first opened its doors for the 2023-2024 school year, demonstrating exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to the success and well-being of all students and staff. During her tenure as Instructional Coach, Mrs. Mobley has been instrumental in implementing GCA’s innovative educational programs, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture, and supporting the professional development of all faculty members.

Mrs. Mobley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, and well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Lander University. Mrs. Mobley also holds a Master of Education degree in Leadership and Supervision from Clemson University. Mrs. Mobley’s vision for the future of GCA includes a continued focus on academic excellence, community engagement, and the holistic development of each student.

In her new role as Principal, Mrs. Mobley looks forward to building on the strong foundation and working collaboratively with staff, students, and parents to ensure that Greenwood Charter Academy remains a place where every student can thrive, and every staff member can enjoy coming to work each and every day.

Greenwood Charter Academy is a 4K-7 tuition-free public charter school that strives to develop the next generation of American citizens by educating the whole child with a classical education.
